After finishing atop Group D, the US men's soccer team meet Cinderella squad Curacao in the Concacaf Gold Cup quarterfinals Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

While the USMNT never failed to reach at least the quarterfinals in all 15 Gold Cups, this is debutant Curacao's first appearance in the knockout stage.

United States

Project Starting XI

It was mission accomplished for the USMNT, which finished atop Group D with a perfect record following a 1-0 win over Panama Wednesday night at Children's Mercy Park.

Gregg Berhalter rotated his entire starting XI against Los Canaleros and Jozy Altidore scored the game's lone goal in the 66th minute, while Sean Johnson needed to make just one save to earn the clean sheet.

Curacao

Project Starting XI

It was a little more dramatic for Curacao, which earned a 1-1 draw against Jamaica on the final matchday in Group B courtesy of a stunning stoppage-time strike by Jurien Gaari.

That goal gave Curacao hope, but they needed some help and already-eliminated Honduras provided it with a 3-0 victory over El Salvador. Curacao ended level on points with El Salvador, but advanced on goal differential.
